Commodity Supplemental Foods*

30-Pounds of food each month free

Every month eligible older people who enroll through SMAA will get free 30-pounds of food such as ready-to-eat cereal, dry beans, canned meat, poultry and tuna, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables.

*The US Department of Agriculture supports the
Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

This Information Is for You or Someone You Know

  • You must be 60 or older.
  • Your income must be under $1,174 per month for one person; or $1,580 per month for two.
  • You, or your agent, must be able to pick up the food each month at one of the designated sites. (See list on the right)
  • To apply, please print out an application form, complete it and send it to:

If someone else will be picking up your food for you as your proxy, you will need to print out, complete and send in a proxy form as well.

NOTE: There is currently a waiting list for the Program. Please apply any way so that we can contact you when we are able to serve more people.
